The River Ebro is Spain's longest river and stretches for over 500 miles. The River Ebro Guest House is located on the banks of the River Ebro, below the dam at Flix. This section of the River Ebro is without doubt an angler's paradise and with no 'closed season' offers all year round Carp & Catfishing.
The garden of the River Ebro Guest House leads down to the river with it's numerous good swims. Wild River Carp can be seen and heard rolling and crashing. A short walk along the riverbank brings you to a flat rocky area below the dam which is renown for carp and catfish.
Carping on the River Ebro is totally the opposite to Carp Fishing in England on stocked waters where the carp are overfed and lazy. The Climate and River Conditions are ideal and these Wild River Carp are hungry and extremely fit and healthy. They are also extremely powerful and landing them is no easy task.
With the River Ebro already boasting Carp over 60lbs, many anglers are doubling their personal best. There are also huge stocks of roach, barbell, bass, eel, zander, and of course the monster Wels Catfish.
The River Ebro is World Famous for Wel's Catfish and the record now stands at over 220lbs. These monster catfish can be found in all sections of the river. Anglers have now turned to bank fishing and, using halibut pellets as bait for catfish, are obtaining outstanding results.
Experienced Fishing Guides & Boats are available for anglers who want to experience the thrill of stalking the giant Wels Catfish . The Experienced & Knowledgeable Guides will take you to stretches of the river where you are most likely to catch monster catfish. These areas are mostly inaccessible by land. The boats are equipped with fish finders and all the equipment needed to land these monster catfish.
Experienced Fishing Guides are also available for Catfishing & Carp fishing from the bank. With their local knowledge they will take you to where you are most likely to catch and advise on baits, rigs etc.
We have a large stock of Tackle for hire including Shimano Rods and Bait Runner Reels for anglers who do not want the hassle of bringing their own. There is a well stocked Tackle & Bait shop in Flix where all terminal tackle and baits can be purchased. Prices are similar to the UK. We also have Canadian Open Canoes and Inflatable Dinghies to hire for baiting up areas and can obtain rod licenses and day tickets before you arrive.
