The River Ebro Guest House is located in Flix, Tarragona, in the heart of Rural Spain. Paul & Beverley are pleased to offer a full itinerary of Guided Walks that have been specially designed for walkers who enjoy River & Countryside Walks.

Our Spanish Guided Walks give you the opportunity to experience fully what walking in Spain has to offer and are perfect for groups, couples and individuals, meeting like minded people with the opportunity to forge lasting friendships.

Walking on Traditional Spanish Footpaths that little by little are being rescued from oblivion, ancient horse and cart tracks, thousand-year-old trails of  herders and charcoal makers. Walk along disused Rail Tracks as they twist and turn through the Spanish Countryside and through tunnels carved out of solid rock. Past long forgotten railway stations that have simply been abandoned. Forest Tracks that weave through pine forests and the only sound to be heard is the local wildlife.

The Guided Walks have been specifically chosen to take in places of interest along the route. Providing a healthy relaxing experience. Lunch is provided and will be either Picnic style or BBQ.

Our Guided Walks will take you to places that are Full of Spanish History moulded over the centuries by the generations that have lived there. The River Ebro was the scene of some of the most Fiercest  Battles during the Spanish Civil War. Visit the bombed Village of Corbera recently declared a place of Historical Interest and the Civil War Museum in Gandesa.

Experience the landscapes that Inspired Pablo Picasso in his youth and which signified the beginning of his cubist period. Visit the cave that he lived in and the Restored Farmhouse where provisions were brought to him by donkey.
